Have you tried Applewood Smoked Cheddar? It is wonderful, though rather mild.Or Guinness cheese?
Kate, uncanny, I had Applewood the same night I tried the Roquefort! Love it, favourite accompaniment is toasted brioche :-P Never tried the Guinness cheese but I'm liking the sound of it.
Thanks to Hazel for introducing me to Roquefort, I didn't spew so it gets the thumbs up. It didn't even taste like socks.
