Eh, she smiled, thanked the person graciously, put it under the table where she would have put most such gifts - certainly all gifts as large as the hydrangea. She shouldn't have said that, given the tiny risk of being heard saying it, but I'd say she was pleasant and gracious. Not bad for a pop star.
