There must be some fucked up dog gene that makes them have a line down the middle like that. You sure as hell never see it in humans. Imagine being Kentish one one side and a gentleman of Northumberland on the other! Droll.
He's probably half catahoula. I adopted a catahoula/airedale mix and many of his siblings looked like that. It's a common color pattern for them. My guess is catahoula/german shephard. I'm no expert though. Just an educated guess :)
