Unfortunately we were just there for a little over 24 hours. We got off the cruise ship and headed to our hotel which was on the ramblas and right by the intersection of the tourist bus routes. Fortunately the weather was beautiful and we saw a ton of sites. Our hotel had a 24 hour cereal / salad / sandwich bar so we stopped in and grabbed a quick bite a couple of times. The trade off for being able to see more things was that we didn't get to enjoy Spanish food. Enjoy your tripl
A cruise! I want a cruise! Think we're staying in that area, round the old town? Only a Mon-Fri break but I truly cannot wait :) Food, I don't get my hopes up, being a vegan, I've kinda cut the rod to beat myself with that one :)
Spanish visitor here! You can ride the tourist bus, with four different routes which will take you to the most interesting places of the city while listening to interesting info. Absolutely do not leave without visiting the Gothic District, Mount Tibidabo, Parc Güell, Sagrada Familia (this one is absolutely astounding) or a walk around the ramblas. Barcelona is an extremely interesting and friendly city, and Spanish food is great! Enjoy!
My husband and I were there in 2009. I think that the golden cowboy in this video might be the same person that shows up in my very poorly shot video.
ReplyDeleteAaah yes that looks like him, Donna! I'm off to Barcelona in two weeks, first trip to mainland Spain...any areas you would recommend?
