Are you as smart as a chimp?

Watch the chimps results and try it yourself here.

How did you find my page?

I've been checking out Google analytics and came across a few keywords googled by people who have stumbled onto my blog. I'm sure they were sorely disappointed when they got here:

"Naked ewe"
"My dog eating a pigeon" (I do have a video of this - maybe not their dog)
"I love cows"
"Prosthetic eye dog"
"Internet fart"
"Visual test pervert"
"Strange blog" (They hit the jackpot there).

And my favourite:

"Overdramatic chipmunk" - Dramatic chipmunk just isn't enough.

Monkey and dog are best friends

Billy the dog disappeared during the big floods of 2002 in Caia, Mozambique.
But when he finally emerged from the jungle in 2005, he came carrying a little monkey on his back, Kiko. They were skinny and half dead, but they had made it through all these years.

Billy had defended Kiko from all the dangers of the jungle, including a bunch of savage dogs willing to have Kiko for lunch.

They are now inseparable. Kiko sleeps hugged to Billy. They eat together, do everything together, and they still are unconfident about humans...Only the two of them, forever.

Ive been tagged!

Tony at Bench has just tagged me

Here are the rules:
Link to the person that tagged you and post the rules on your blog. Share seven random and/or weird facts about yourself. Tag seven random people at the end of your post, and include links to their blogs. Let each person know they have been tagged by leaving a notification on their blog.

7 random facts about myself...

1. I was terrifed of computers as a child. We had an Acorn Electron which would frequently throw up errors such as 'locked' and 'error at line 10' etc. I would run off shouting "what's locked mean, what's it doing???"
2. I was on RTE TV at Feile '95 talking to Dustin the Turkey in a portaloo.
3. Talking about turkeys, once we found one running down the road, kept it, named it Lucky, grew it to an emormous size, then ate it for Christmas (It had to be cut in half to fit in the oven).
4. I am now a vegetarian.
5. I'm mad into gardening, love growing vegetables.
6. Once I found a crow with a broken wing and took it to the vets wrapped in a blanket. They were all like "Aww what have you there - Yaargh!"
7. I do a bit of painting and drawing in my spare time, local scenes, flog a few here an there.

What happens to Christmas trees in Holland

In Holland they have a tradition regarding Christmas trees. They try and gather as many as they can find, pile them up and piss off the green movement by setting fire to them. In the town of Vlaardingen they not only got some nice heat going, but got an explosion as an unexpected extra. No people were harmed in the making if this video, only 80 windows will never get to see the light of day again.
