As Rare As...Geese Teeth?

  1. Not teeth...Lamellae.

Lamellae are the serrations found on the bills of ducks and geese that
look like teeth. They are used to help cut and rip grasses and weeds
as well as to hold insects or fish.

  2. Whatever they are, a pissed off goose will use them. It hurts and they usually won't go away until you smack them with a shovel.

  3. Anon, I guessed it was something like that, their beaks remind me of pliers. That one has a crazed look in its eye.

Jess, ha ha! I haven't much experience with geese, but there was a neighbour's rooster called Elvis who loved to chase me like a thing from hell.
