They are found on Rottnest Island 18Km (11 miles)off the coast of Perth, Western Australia. They are a marsupial and carry their young in a pouch like a Kangaroo. They are quite friendly.
Rottnest island was named by Dutch explorers in the 1600's and means "Rat Nest" because they thought the Quokkas were large rats.

lol I think he's very tiny judging by the size of him with a leaf...you may need a few to fill a pot
