Oddly Marked Dog

  2. This is actually a chimeric puppy, from what I can tell, considering the eye color is affected, though I can't really say for sure without more pictures. What this means, in simpler terms, is that, the zygotes (embryos in early stages of development) of two different puppies 'merged' into one, and it continued to develop, making it have two sets of DNA, as well. This is most common in rats and hamsters, though it has been seen in cats, dogs, and horses, however, only scientifically confirmed in cats, to my knowledge, though there seem to be many articles popping up here and there with allegedly chimeric animals, that more resemble mosaics. There has been several documented instances of human chimeras, as well.

    1. wow, amazing! On the grey parts everything looks grey, the nails, eyes, even the tongue has a grey tinge :)
