Greece's Riot Dog, Loukanikos, Dies

Loukanikos (Sausage), the headline grabbing dog who appeared in the front line of Greek anti-austerity protests has passed away peacefully. The dog’s health was adversely affected by tear gas and from being kicked by police, forcing him to “retire” from active protest about two years ago.
