Since there is currently an approximate of 8 million terabytes of data on the internet, and you have currently seen the whole of the internet, I would assume you fried the lines leading to your house.
Have found out the only way to get any assistance from BT is to ring the cancellation line and threaten to leave. Hopefully be back on Friday, I assume the Internet is in a right mess with me away? ;-)
Recently had same problem with ISP down and the tech who visited couldn't be nicer. He carefully wrapped all wires with tape to keep out water and installed a copper ground for roof antennae. I learned it is smarter to make a friend of the tech guy than to cut them loose before I can locate a better replacement. Looking forward to your new crop of funnies.
