That's a little eerie. It reminds me of after a hurricane, when all the electricity was off for hundreds of square miles. You never realize how dark dark is until it really gets dark.
The utter dark of a moonless night on the Kaiparowits is an experience everyone should have once in a life time......but like the total eerie silence, it would probably scare the hell out of them. >8O

ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, the nearest village is a few miles from me and town about 13 miles, yet it's never totally dark.
